Hook up hp speakers to dell computer

\015 The power comes on, but there is no sound.\015

Answers :

Check to make sure the audio cable is plugged into the right port on the back of the PC. Typically it is color coordinated and goes in the green plug.
\015\012
\015\012After you verify that, and it is plugged in correctly, then go into your start button – control panel - sounds and audio devices. Make sure the volume is not muted or turned way down.
\015\012If that does not fix the issue you may have an issue with a codec on the system. Do a Google search for k-light codec and download and install the k-light mega codec. I believe it might require a reboot. I have had a lot of luck fixing audio issues with that Codec.
