Having problems with your HP Mini 1000 Netbook ?

Can i somehow just re install xp to solve my black screen, i did safe mode and disk check

Answers :

For the Hp mini . You can do a recovery but you will need an external dvd drive and the recovery cds . It is not suggested that you get a retail version to install . Please also do not try the usb installation as well . wont work . But do the hard disk test in the bios which is possible by pressing F10 continuously when starting the computer . it is available on the diagnostic screen .
If you boot from the windows installation disc there is a repair option.
if you cannot see anything: you can reset to the factory settings ( resets the computer to the state it left the factory ), you do it by pressing one of the F# keys during the start-up, ( you will have to check with the support page on the HP website to find specific details ).
