Left palm rest gets hot very easily for my notebook

\015 I am using the HP DV4 1242 TX model notebook. The laptop is fine in all aspects but left palm rest gets warmet and sometimes hot if I run any high-end application. I came to know from the customer support that there is a hard drive located under the left palm rest. How do I control hear factor? I can upgrade if possible.\015

Answers :

You can change the hard drive for a newer unit. Some older drives (Maxtor) put off alot of heat.
