Having problems with your Gateway MT3705 Notebook ?

I just purchased the new gateway netbook lt series and I have problems with the touchpad. Sometimes it does not even load and then when it does load it will be working and then just freeze up. It will then sometimes work after a few minutes and other times I have to re-boot and hope it loads and will work. What can I do I am so disapointed in my first gateway. Maybe I should of stayed with Dell?????

If your only problem is with the touchpad, find either the device drivers or the ALPS touchpad program and uninstall them. You will need to connect an external keyboard for the rest. Go to:

and search for the right drivers for your specific model. Download and reinstall them. That should solve that problem.

As for the computer freezing, I would make sure you didn't get any viruses or spyware by mistake. safety.live.com is a good place to scan your computer and fix it for free. I would try that first. If that doesn't work, I hate to say that you should either reformat your computer (either with the supplied disks or by pressing some of the function keys on startup, before the windows screen.) or contact Gateway customer support.
