Gateway Initial Boot Up slow Before Windows

\015 The Gateway GM838 sits on the Boot logo "Gateway" for 30 seconds before you can access the CMOS settings. The hard disc appears to spin up to speed for this time and after the drive slows down the system becomes responsive to the keyboard. I have down loaded the latest drivers and replaced them for the keyboard. All function anthe keyboard appear normal.Windows XP Media boots normal after this. Any ideas would be appreciated.Thanks\015
