Having problems with your eMachines W3506 PC Desktop ?

My father in law opened the case to clean out the dust and now the computer won't turn on at all. there are three small wires that are loose they are labeled power sw hdd led and another led i can't remember what it said. Where should these wires be attached?

Answers :

If you look closely on the motherboard, you will see the labels on each pair of pins near the front part of the case. You might need a magnifying glass too! just take note of the HDD led's polarity (plus for red and white or black for positive). You can invert it if it does not light. The power switch labeled "sw" and the reset switch can be connected either way.
hope this helps.
They should be attached to the pins on the motherboard as they are normally marked on where they go

the pins are on the edge nearest the bottom front of the pc

they normally look like this

. . . . . .
. . . . . .

just a case of matching them up to the wiring

if your not sure then go to motherboard manufactures website and download the manual from there.
