Power supply for Emachine

\015 I have an emachine while moving the front caseing came off. The power button has 3 cords that plug into the mother board some where. Where do I plug in the lines on the mother board. It looks like one line controls the power it has 1 red and 1 white line. Another line has 1 black and 1 white line and there is 1 white and 1 green line next to each other. I see a potential location but don't know how they should be placed.\015

WhoDoctorK9 is right. You'll need the model number of the pc to pull up any schematics of the board. This is, however, how you solve this problem. Just google your model number and try to find a schematic of the board.

If you can't find the schematic, the board should be marked with some sort of 'pwr' blah blah white lettering. It's hit & miss, but you can find the connection without visual aid by dimensions of the plugs and the obscure little identifiers on the board itself.

Good luck and may the force be with you. :P

I have an emachine T2984 that won't boot. No noise of any kind. I had another emachine T2625 that was working. I took the power supply out of the T2984 (that wouldn't boot) and put it in the T2625 and it worked. Can I assume that rules out a faulty power supply? However, now when I put the original power supply back in the T2625, it now does not boot up. The power supply seems to work, but I get a "no signal" message on the monitor. Any suggestions?
