Icons freezing after computer starts up

\015 Hello :0),I am having issues with my icons not working after computer starts up,they freeze and I have to access them through the start up menu.My applications stay open even after i close them or tab out. I have PC registry Cleaner,Drive Scannner and AVG.some of my icons have litle arows on them ,if my comp stays idle for like 10-20 mins i can click on my icons but then they stop working again.Even going on the internet is hard now it may or may not freeze on me.I keep finding myself restarting comp or logining off.Comment posted on Mar 26, 2009AVG didnt detect any virus,i did a full clean scan.Can you let me know if there are other causes for this type of behavor please.\015

Log in to the system as you do in usual
- insert the OS installation disk
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to view the task manager.
- Press new Task .
- Now write this in the field( sfc /scannow)
\015\012PS there is a space between "sfc" and "/".
\015\012now you would see a new window that copies the files from the installation disk to your computer as SFC(System file checker) copies the missing or corrupted files from the disk to your computer..

I think your account might be corrupt, and should probably be deleted. I would highly recommend backing up your data to an external hard drive or create a temporary folder on your C drive, then create a new user account through the control panel. Once this is done, log off of the current account, login to the new account. Locate the icon titled My Computer. Right-click the icon and choose Properties. Look for the tab titled Advanced- click it. Midway down under User Profiles there should be a button titled Settings- click it. IN the list that populates with the user accounts (profiles) stored on your machine, highlight the account that you were just previously logged into (the original account that you were experiencing problems with). Once the old account name is selected, choose the button titled delete. Now, you can restart and log back in. This should put you back at a ready state. It will also resolve your problem if spyware was to blame for your inital problems. Let me know.
