No backlighting on keyboard

\015 My Dell Studio 1735 purchased from Dell (refurbished) and the keyboard backlight did not work. After 140 minutes on the phone to Customer service, they decided to send me a new keyboard and told me I could replace it myself!?! Surprise. I did replace it myself. Using it now. Good job! But the backlight still does not work.Where is the light source (bulb, led or what)?\015

The backlight is intergrated into the keyboard itself, so your problem does not seem to be a keyboard problem. Make sure you have tried toggling the backlight (Fn + right arrow) and that when you fitted it, no connections are loose.
If all else fails, and your warranty is still alive, contact Dell again and describe your problem.
