Dell PowerEdge 2450 Server issues

\015 I have a Dell PowerEdge 2450 server that won't boot past the original "Two 866 MHz Processors, Processor Bus: 133 MHz, L2 cache: 256 KB Advanced." after the original dell start up bar disappears. I can't enter Setup or Utility Mode unless I remove the battery and the clock gets reset. Only then can I get it into the bios. Please help. I can't seem to get it to boot further or start from any CD I put in the drive. I also don't have any original disk boot set or any repair disks. Just windows server 2000. Please Help\015

Answers :

Power down thy system, pull the hard drive half way out remove all cards from the slots power up see if you go pass the processor etc,if not go into the system setup f2,integrated devices turn them all.see if you go further if you do go back in turn the devices on one by one,do not put the hard drives in yet.wait until you turn the scsi controler assuming you are using the integrated card.If you still cant the on board raid controler uses a raid dim if you can change thi note it must be the same type.
\015\012Good luck
FIrstly reseat all removable components in the system and retry
Second remove all DIMMS except one. try again
I not then remove this DIMM and put in another one. This is to test for a faulty DIMM thats hanging the POST
TRy these things and see if you get further
