The only thing i can understand is, you want to know how much memory is installed in the computer. Right?
now i don't know, if you are using xp or vista. so to save your time i will post solutions for both of them.
so this is what you can do.

for windows xp:

Click on start > control panel> system> in the figure. (if the image is not clear, the amount of memory is mentioned at the bottom where it says, computer: Intel r....1.00 GB of RAM) what is rounded in red is the amount of memory you have. on the same screen click on Hardware > device manager will give you the details of what ever is there in your laptop. but it does not make any sense to a non geek person.5cf9db0.tif
