Having problems with your Dell OptiPlex GX260 PC Desktop ?

No sound from speakers. I can't burn CDs, the system tells me 'No Audio Device'

Try going to support.dell.com and go to downloads and drivers and look up your machines. download the audio driver
Go on dell.com and look for your motherboard's drivers for the audio port. and if it won't work, then buy a cheap PCI sound card. that means it doesn't detect a sound device in your system. sometimes it's programming with windows and sometimes it's hardware (faulty, etc) that could be the problem. A new sound card would be your best option if you can't find a way to fix it by finding drivers. Someone I know had the same issue and they bought a new sound card and it worked great. It's a simple fix. And do you have a burner drive? Cause if you don't, then you can't burn files. If you do, then windows should let you do it. You can go on downloads.com to look for CD/DVD burning software to try to fix this issue.
