Installing New Graphics Card.How do you disable the onboard GC?

\015 Dell Optiplex GX260,with Windows XP Pro.I am installing a NVIDIA. GeForce GeForce FX 5500 256MB/DDR/CRT/TV-OUT/DVI Graphics Card.I basically know what to do,but how do you disable the onboard graphics card? Also,is there a good Sound Card that would be good to put in to match this GC? THANKS Y'ALL!!!\015

To disable the onboard graphics go into your CMOS settings and in there you should find something that says Graphics choices should be onboard or add on or some other form. It all depends on who made your BIOS. As far as a sound card not sure.
