Dell Lattitude D800 with screen issue

\015 When booting up, I do not see the bootup stats at all. If the screen does come on, it is very jittery and only fills the right 3/4 of the screen. As it gets warmer, the jittering gets worse, and sometimes it just blacks out. If I hook up an external monitor, it displays fine. Any idea's??\015

This is either a loose data cable on the main board connection or the connection to the screen has shifted. The first is a easy fix and the second usually isn't. If you have bumped it or dropped it you can cause this. My hunch is it is the display but you can check to make sure.
\015\012If you tap along side the display while it has a image you may see it jump or even clear up with every tap. If it does that means it is definnitly the display.
\015\012If you tap on the bottom about where to the top edge of the keyboard ends towards the left side that is about where the connector is located. If it jumps or changes when you tap its your connector.
\015\012If tapping in either place does nothing then I would suspect the problem is in the display itself and will most likely require replacement. If it apears to be the connector the laptop needs to be partially disassembled and the connector reseated. That usually fixes the connector caused problem.

I am using a Dell Lattitude D830. I added another monitor (Dell) for home use. First time I hooked it up, it worked fine. Today, I took the laptop with me, so unplugged the monitor. Now, I cannot get the monitor to come back up. I have gone into the control panel and changed the monitors, but it still won't work. The monitor works, but I cannot get the laptop screen to show up.
