Black screen on dell latitude d630

\015 When i power on my dell latitude d630 all i get is a black screen. nothing loads, it just goes straight to a black screen\015

Answers :

There's probably nothing wrong with your screen.

Dell has extended the warranties by 1 year on a bunch of laptops because the NVidia GPU overheats (the warranty covers the GPU only). Take a look at: <http://en.community.dell.com/dell-blogs/b/direct2dell/archive/2008/08/18/nvidia-gpu-update-dell-to-offer-warranty-enhancement-to-all-affected-customers-worldwide.aspx>

Basically, call Dell support and they'll most likely replace the motherboard for free.
Seems it is the screen which has gone bad. get your screen replaced
