Having problems with your Dell Latitude D610 Notebook ?

My dell laptop suddenly stopped working without the power cord. power cord needed to be repaired, it had a gash exposing wires. fixed it with electrical tape but it is no longer portable, did i mess the internal battery up?

Answers :

The battery will discharge without using charger please fix your charger.
It sounds more like the large portability battery has been 'messed' i recommend getting a new power cord. Whist you may have repaired the cabling and it may have appeared to work, the escape circuit for charge may have been broken but it is not required for the laptop to work, but is important when recharging the battery. I recommend getting a new adapter and then if that doesn't work a new large battery also.
