I have a Toshiba 1405-s171 serial # 72154211P. The green power light would not go on, but the laptop would still function properly. Then I started to get a message something to the effect that the battery was running low---even when the battery was not installed. So I thought it might be the A/C power adapter and got a new one. The laptop functioned awhile and then got the same battery low-shutting down message. Now when plugged in and turned on there are no lights. When turned on the DVD

I am troubleshooting this laptop, CX2610, for a customer. He just got it back from the field, (he owns a land surveying company), so he can't tell me the history of the problem. No Power I've got the FPD1760 and my grandmothers dog chewed through the power cord and since then it hasn't worked. I've replaced the cord with a new one and it still doesn't work. I opened it up and took a look inside and some of the components on the circuit board attatched to the power supply are blown. Any idea where I could get a new board? I've checked e-bay and all I can find are the display driver boards, which that seems to be fine. Thanks!
