Having problems with your Dell Latitude D600 Notebook ?

Fan off but on for a few seconds occasinary

\015 I noticed that the fan is not rotating but when i opened the lap top, and switched on while opened, the fan responded only for a few seconds. This happen several other times i swiched on and off. Is there a sensor that instructs the fan to start rotating or could the cable be loose where i am not checking? Help\015
