Having problems with your Dell Inspiron 6400 Notebook ?

Dell inspiron 6400 rebooting

\015 I have recently taken out the system board. After I turn it off it will reboot , not immediately but anytime up to 30 minutes afterwards. StrangeI have checked that the wires are back in the original places. There must be a short, or something.Anyone come across this problem before? What would I check?\015

That kind of rebooting problem is usually a hardware conflict. Make sure all the boards and cable are plugged in right. Also, remove any addons like extra RAM chips while troubleshooting.

Otherwise, it could be a faulty part. MB, RAM, video card, etc.

Lastly, it could be a corrupted hard drive.

Good luck.
