Having problems with your Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook ?

My Dell Inspiron 6000 works fine on AC, but will not charge

\015 I recently had to send in my Inspiron to be repaired because the charging port was loose, but now I have an entirely different problem. The AC cord plugs in fine and the computer will run on AC, but it refuses to charge my battery. I tested the battery and it's not dead, and I tested the AC cord and it's not dead either. Is there something wrong with the conversion of AC in my laptop?\015
