Having problems with your Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook ?

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 w/ window xp. I show my wireless connection on the signal is excellent but when i click internet explorer its says its connect to internet - i dont have working offline clicked / i also launched network diagnostics and nothing . any suggestions

Try connecting to another wireless connection... if it connects to another connection and you get to the internet, then it is something with your wireless router or modem. Your PC can "see" a wireless connection, so it is NOT PC hardware.

It sounds like you can connect to the router, but cannot go through the router to get to the internet. Probably a simple issue with your modem or router. Try power cycling the modem, and power cycling the router. Then restart your PC and try connecting again.

If all that fails, try installing Mozilla Firefox and see if that will get out to the internet. It may be a problem with Internet Explorer.
