Very slow to log on and log off

\015 My computer takes about 10 mins to log on and log off.I have deleted some files and downloads already thinking that this might be the cause of it to slow down but it is still the same. Can you help me with this problem please.Thanks.\015

Deleting files are generally not a good idea as many programs may utilize files located in various directories. Going into C:\\Program Files\\<folder> and deleting information this way can be detrimental to your PC.
\015\012There is a way to see and select/deselect startup programs from running. To see this list, go to Start -> Run (or use the Windows Key + r) and type msconfig. Click on the "Startup" tab and you'll see a list of programs. The important thing to note is not to simply go through this list and uncheck everything.
\015\012Using Google, you can search for the "Startup Item" named to find out exactly what it is. You also may be able to discern what application it belongs to by expanding the "Command" column. This will let you see the location of that statup item.
\015\012In general, things like instant message programs, Adobe products, camera products, are not needed. Things such as Nvidia and Realtek/SoundMax are related to video/sound items and would be something you want to keep checked.
\015\012Try unchecking things that don't need to be running at start up. Then see if your PC performance improves.
