On Dell Inspiron 1501, at college dorm, wireless internet drops

\015 On Dell Inspiron 1501, at college dorm, wireless internet service ok in the morning, but gets super slow or drops internet service later in the day (seems like when the dorm network gets busier?) Any ideas or suggestions?\015

Hi,
Your initial thoughts are correct, the more people using the connection at the same time the slower the connection becomes.
This a common problem with schools, colleges etc that share the same internet connection.
Your only way around this problem will be to purchase an internet dongle that plug into the USB ports at the side or back of your PC. Other than that your stuck with lagging net services until late at night or early morning.

Regards.
Hmmmm
\015\012If you can obtain an "802.11 N" wireless card, a USB type then you may have better luck maintaining your connection.
\015\012In the meantime, set your card to use "Only G", not "B" or "A".
\015\012This will keep your connection at the highest speed until you invest in a "N" adapter ($30).
\015\012Hope this helps!

Router problem. Time Warner had a internet problem last Sunday, April 26 here in the Northeast. They fixed it, but our internet still didn't function properly as it did before the TWC problem. Very slow connections and timing out most of the time. Talked to TWC tech person, and found out that internet was fine to my main computer, but when the router was hooked up the problem came back. Netgear WGR614 v4. Only thing TWC said was to try and change channel. We tried but problem still exists.
