Yellow light flashes and Fan doesnt start

\015 HI,\015\012\015\012I have a problem with my E310 dimension desktop when i start it only yellow light flashes and when i opened the box i dont see any noise or movement, even fan is also not starting. Do you think i need to replace the FAN?\015

Answers :

I think it may be a problem with the motherboard cause the power light should be green from what I remember. The fan isn't even turning on either which is very suspicious. Try another power supply if you have one handy and if that fails then the motherboard is bad. Even if your fan was bad, you would normally get video anyway before a warning message about the fan would come up.
If anything the problem is your power supply. First make sure all the power connections coming from the power supply to the motherboard are all snug. Check to see if there is a light on the board that indicates power flow. If you still can't get power to the system, replace the power supply itself. (the big box that the power connects to)
