Unable to reboot system after upgrades

\015 I have a dell dimension 2400. I recently installed a new 500 gb hard drive and (2) 1gb pc2700 ddr ram. i was going to install windows xp software but I received 1 beep, then 3 series of beeps, then 2 more beeps after that. In the back of the tower I noticed 4 lights. light A is green light, B is yellow, C is green, and D is yellow. How do I tackle this problem? please help!\015

You need to pl your ram out and reseat it that cand is a ram fault 95% of time just reseating you ram will fix it. dont worry about the lights.
1. Check your RAM speed

2. Install the old RAm and see if the problem persists
