Having problems with your Dell A215 Computer Speakers ?

Speakers not working, but cables all plugged in...

\015 Well, I checked and double checked but I can't seem to find the problem. I made sure all the cables and wires were plugged in properly, including the power source and then connection to the computer. However, my Dell Dimension Desktop doesnt seem to have a jack for the speakers in the back of the tower, only in the front, next to the USB ports, which is where I plugged it in.\015\012The problem is, when I go to Control Panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices > Sounds and Audio Devices > Volume, it shows a message saying that there is "No Audio Device". What could possibly be wrong?\015

Answers :

No drivers for your soundcard, this is a computer issue not a speaker issue, contact dell, if you can understand a word they say, ask them "I have Dimension (model number here), I need to know how to install my sound drivers", if you dont know how to do this.
In answer to snowbunny's question, goto:\015\012\015\012start -> control panel -> sound and audio devices\015\012\015\012when the little box pops up, make sure that you have the box checked off that says "place volume icon in the taskbar" and you should be fine.\015\012\015\012As for glo92's problem:\015\012\015\012goto "sound and audio devices" like above, and make sure that within the "Audio" and "Voice" tabs that the voice/sound playback are not greyed out and have some kind of card assigned to it.\015\012\015\012If it's greyed out then you need to install new drivers and properly assign them to the playback devices.
