Speaker volume too loud

\015 After I watched a video on a PBS site in windows media player (not my chosen player), I noticed that whenever I want to play sound with anything from iTunes to other media players to random videos on the internet, the sound is blaring at the normal level. Usually I cannot hear sound when I have the volume turned down to the lowest notch, but now I can.I have gone into the control panel and put the settings back to the default (where they were before), and I have gone into the volume playback control and fixed settings there. Nothing seems to help. It's like I have completely lost control of the sound via the nob for my speakers. Any idea how to fix this and/or what caused it? I would really like to have my speaker control back.Thank you.\015

Answers :

\015\012first check in your midia player software that volume is not high.

Have you tryed to turn down the sound volume on the media player its self as well as the the main volume?
