Having problems with your Bose Companion 3 Series II Multimedia Speaker System (3-Piece) - Graphite/Silver ?

Loud hum with static when speakers turned on

\015 My 3 series II worked well for 2 years. Now when turn on the system there is a loud hum with static the volume of which is not reduced by using the volume control. I have tried using a remote power point but it makes no difference. All of the connections are sound. I am using the speakers from an IMac using the earphone jack as directed.\015

Answers :

There is def. a loose connection somewhere in your system. This is a grounding problem within the system if nothing else. Def. a "lazy" connection somewhere.
