Having problems with your BenQ FP737S-D 17" LCD Monitor ?

Screen displays fine for a second, then goes blank

\015 I have this screen for about a year now.\015\012About two weeks ago this strange problem had started to occur. Whenever i turn my computer on, the screen displays fine for about a second, then turns blank while the led stays green. when turning the screen off and then on again, the Benq logo is displayed, and then the same thing happens - the display works fine for a second, then turns blank.\015\012This also happens when unplugging and plugging the screen again to either the computer or the power socket.\015\012It also occurs on several computers working with different resolutions and refresh rates.\015\012Both the power cable and the video cable seem fine for a non-expert like me.\015\012\015\012Thank you very much in advance,\015\012Dor\015

Answers :

Dor, BenQ has a 3yr warranty on their monitors. I would contact their tech support and receive an RMA to return it for repair. It will cost you shipping out there but they will ship it back. I has a BenQ FP731 myself and it blew a capacitor inside that allowed the screen to stay on. Fixed it and had it back in 5-7 days. Good luck.

But here's where I differ from the majority, if I can get to run System restore, the monitor will work perfectly fine again until the next morning when I need to switch it back on again. Unplugging the power lead from the back and utting it back in again will relight the screen for about two seconds before it all goes blank again.
