Having problems with your Averatec 6100 Notebook ?

My fan on my 6100 had stopped working and the computer overheated. Now when I turn it on only the power light comes on. What is the most likely board that was damaged?

Answers :

Running the computer with a non-functional fan can damage the unit. Most likely the processor is what is damaged since their temperature get ridiculously high when the fan is not functional. This may be repairable with a mobo / processor replacement at your local computer shop, but after all that you may be better off just buying a new one. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
