Shuts down often, without warning - ASUS V1Jp PC Notebook

Answers :

I can't see the suggestions offered so far, have you tried using canned air to blow the dust out of the fans and heatsinks on the laptop? Also you could try one of those cooling pads that you place under the laptop to increase airflow.

If these things don't help the thermal grase between the heatsink and cpu might need to be replaced to provide better heat transfer. The old compound may have lost its effectiveness.

Hello Jock,

It seems that your laptop is compromised with viruses. How long will the computer stay on? My best advise would be to run the online scanner from Eset.

If its restarting, try to login into safe mode and then do the online scan from there.

If you still have problems, please do not hesitate to comment back.
