Having problems with your ASUS PC Desktops ?
Noise from headphones
\015 Annoying problem here: there's high pitched noise coming from my headphones plugged to my computer (never used speakers). Sounds like almost constant ''piiiiiiiiii'' or ''weeeeeeeeee''. The noise is the same regardless of headphones being front or back panel connected. Between boot and opening a browser, when there's just the desktop on my monitor, this noise is not present, only some crackling which reacts to mouse movement. The noise appears few moments after a browsing session is started and won't go away if I minimize the window to show the desktop again or even if I close the browser. It attenuates a bit when I choose line out in the audio i/o menu instead of headphones. It does not react to volume control. I have muted mic. and everything - still there. Any help? Thanks\015
If I am thinking of the right sound go back into your audio mixer and turn down or off the mic pre amp or gain. On mine I have two preamp setting and one gives me a squealing sound if enabled.
