Eee pc boots to blinking cursor

\015 Yesterday it starting crashing and rebooting. It would then re-start and give me the choices of the safe modes and last known good config. I tried last known good config and now it boots to a black screen with a blinking cursor.I've tried holding the ESC while booting to try to get it to boot on the restore DVD, nothing.\015

Answers :

You need to enter the bios when the computer turns on and configure the boot priority to boot from wherever you need it to for the Restore DVD. Then Save your changes and exit, now it should boot from the Restore DVD.

To enter BIOS it should tell you what button to press as the computer POST's, if not Google it, or try all the function keys.
Unfortunately this sounds like you have been infected by a virus, it's best to get your hard drive completely wiped clean and reinstall your operating system (Windows XP, Vista, or whatever you use) and your software. This usually fixes these types of problems.
