Having problems with your AMD Athlon XP 2600+, 2.13 GHz (AXDA2600DKV3C) OEM / Unboxed Processor ?

Processor Speed Dropped to 1.6GHz

\015 Yes, while I was doing some things on my computer, I happened to noticed that the processor speed dropped down. I might have accidentally uninstalled something, or reseted something in the motherboard BIOS (I'm using the Asus A7N8X-X for my motherboard). Does anybody know how can I bring the speed back up it's standard (2.13GHz as mentioned)?\015

Answers :

Check your system bus speed, you may have changed it to 100 from 133. Look in your BIOS setup, you may have selected safe option instead of optimum settings.
\015\012
\015\012Try this:

Control Panel >> System and Maintenance >> Power Options >> Change Plan Settings (For the current plan you are using) >> Change Advanced Power Settings >> +Processor Power Management >> +Maximum Processor State

Now make sure that it is set to 100%.

*Edit: Also make sure the minumum processor state is set to 100%
