Good chance a shorted diode on the other end of the pcb where the big wire harness connects.
Four little 1N4001 diodes (D10 through D13 I think) and Two diode bridges (the black sqares standing off the board on four legs).

You need a meter to check them. Any one of those six could be the problem. If it's one on the 1N4001's
then you should replace them all and upgrade to 1N4007's.

I just upgraded some some parts on my ADA880 sub pcb today. Love the sound of this system no longer use it with my computer - have it hooked up to a DVD player with digital out. So basic but so awesome.

Blowing Fuse I have a 2.5amp fuse in my speakers, but it keeps blowing. Not sure what could be the root of the problem. Do I need a bigger fuse? It may help to note that the country I'm in runs off a 50Hz cycle, not 60Hz. Not sure that makes a difference. The speakers were working well for over a year and then all of a sudden the fuse blew, and each new one I put it, it kept blowing them. I have other Altec speaker systems that work well and are still working. Would really like to solve this as
