How do i change the memory bus speed on my dell optiplex 170l? The CPU is an Intel Celeron 2.4GHz. The mother board processor speed is 400MHz and the Bios indicates a memory bus speed of 266MHz and does not seem to have an adjustable option. If the CPU can run at 400MHz then why can't I get the memory bus to run at 400MHz? Origanuly this system was shipped with 2 X 128MB 333MHz DDR CL2.5 Non-ECC DIMM modules and yet the bios indicates memory speed at 266MHz.

I have been having some boot problems into windows with my p4s800 mx motherboard. I have purchased it with a 3,0 ghz cpu and put it together yesterday, after which I tried to boot it. It works on lets say 6/9 times, but the 4/9 times it wont boot into windows. After the boot failure, the system automatically gets into bios and tells me that the ''system hung'' and that I should adjust the frequency of my CPU. I am currently not overclocking the system and have the same problem when I try the 1,5
