Computer power on, monitor and fan issues

\015 Numerous issues after cleaning. I cleaned the dust from my computer, it started sometimes for about ten seconds before shutting down again. So I found out that I needed to apply heatsink compound. I did, it boots maybe nine times out of ten. But when I press the power button it will not work. I have to unplug the power supply and plug it in quickly, otherwise the fans start slowly, and the rest stays idle. The three blue lights are completely off, even when the fans are going slowly, and the one in the middle keeps flickering. Please excuse my lack of knowledge in computer terminology. There are also times when it will be working okay for about twenty minutes, then the monitor gets diagonal jagged blue black and white lines and I have to restart, which leads to the first issue. I don't know if I put the fans in properly, I've searched the installation of fans, but there is nothing on how to do it for an Acer L100, mine has 2 fans, They seem to be working okay when it actually starts. I just don't know about the placement of the wiring. I have both fans facing out, but I'm not sure if there's a certain position other than that (i.e wire to the right, name of fan upright when the tower is standing on it's side) I've looked at other older computers to see if there's a certain position the fans have to be in, but I find nothing that's similar to my computer. Why I cleaned it in the first place, is because the computer kept overheating and shutting down. I have been trying to render/save a video I've made in Sony Vegas 8, but I cannot publish it, because every time it reaches 60 percent, the computer overheats and crashes. It's not an issue of RAM, and I even have a table top fan blowing directly on it to help it cool down. The problem is so bad that I cannot run my computer in any temperature over regular room temperature.I'm sorry if this has been solved elsewhere, and I thank you in advance if anyone can help.\015
