Acer 5610 DC jack problem - need to dismantle laptop

\015 My Acer 5610 power supply is working (checked) but the jack seems disconnected from the mother board.I'm trying to dismantle the laptop but can't find a way of releasing the top cover near the screen. HELP!\015

The solider tends to loseen up on the power connection.Make sure all screws are removed some are under the covers on bottom of laptop slightly pry the top up where ever it seems to be holding look for a screw underneath where its holding.if all screws are out it should come off fairly easy.
