\015\012I had the same problem after my fat cat sat on my keyboard. This is how I fixed it. At the top of the keyboard there is a F9 key. If you look closely at this key, it also has two pictures of the mouse pad. This key is a toggle that turns the mouse pad on and off. Down near the lower left corner of the keyboard is a key marked FN. Hold down the FN key and press the F9 key. That will turn the mouse pad back on.
