Having problems with your Acer AL2216WBD LCD Monitor ?

Permanent vertical line down monitor

\015 Permanent vertical line in my AL2216W Monitor. Sometimes it's white, sometimes it's blue. I find it quite distracting when working with pictures and graphics. Any suggestions are welcome.\015\012Thank you, Mia\015

Answers :

The thin ribbon that connects the board on the back of the lcd screen to the front glass of the lcd screen got damaged.
\015\012It wraps around the top of the screen and is very thin and can be easily damaged.
\015\012May be from old age and heat at the top of the screen or it could have gotten hit at the top.

\015\012The cheapest way to repair this is to replace the lcd screen with a\015\012good used one because trying to find a shop to try to repair it would\015\012cost more than a new monitor.
It will change color with different colors and also if you push the screen at the top point. Don't play with pushing the screen too often as this may cause more to show up.
\015\012Sorry there isn't an easy fix to this.
