ADVENT 8212 Laptop - i want to go back to Factory Settings!

\015 I installed XP on my ADVENT 8212 pc - i want to go back to factory settings The reason was.... WE had a "BootMGR" error! and i did not know about the "F8" key to go to System restore...... Now i do...... But i DONT get the option to "Factory Restore" it now! Just keeps asking about Windows XP!!! :-(Please Help - It belongs to my daughter and she is missing her laptop so much!!!\015

Use a windows cd as if you are installing a fresh copy. there is an option repair just right before you press the F8(before you perform format) there is a selection that says press F8 to continue or R to repair, if you pres R it will Bring you to a command promt type "fixboot" and hit enter then type "fixmbr" the hit enter again type exit and see if your pc boot normally
