CPU Cooling Fan Run Time

\015 Hi,I recently purchased a toshiba satellite L505D-S5965 laptop, so far my biggest issue is the amount of time the cpu cooling fan cycles off and on. You can actually see a set time pattern to it, as I'm not a gamer or anything..I would have thought the fan wouldn't run nearly so much. Is there any way to control this ? This computer is less than two weeks old, and I've already checked to make sure all of the vents are clean.Thanks,David\015

Answers :

It is normal for the fan to switch on and off (cycle). The run time depends upon the ambient temperature, the thermal switch setting and how hard the CPU is working at the time.
\015\012Some computers allow you to adjust the CPU operating temperature from the BIOS configuration, but this is not the norn.
