Having problems with your PC Laptops ?

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L40, it won't charge and I believe it is the power socket which is at fault, the problem is I can't seem to take the thing apart. I seem to get to a point where I've taken all the screws out but the casing wont seem to come off, it appears to be stuck in the centre of the notebook, I thought it might just be stuck but when I used a bit of force it felt like it was going to break. Has anyone taken apart one of these and could they assist?
