Blank screen on Toshiba Tecra M3

\015 My laptop would pixelate during gameplay and after a while, the 'blue screen' of death would appear causing my system to shut down. Now nothing appears at all on my screen. This was a gradual process which occurred over a week or two.\015\012I was told it may be that the graphics chip is fried!\015\012If so, would I need to replace the system board?\015\012Please help. I cannot afford a brand new laptop....\015
