\015 I recently changed the computer to a different place in me house and connected to an outlet that is linked to a light switch, My kids as well as myself keep forgetting that the switch would turn the computer on and off as well. Oops!! now it turns on but makes beeping noise and then the it reads for the recovery disks on the monitor screen. maybe something burned?? please help!\015

The beeping is telling you something ... counting the beeps and matching that to the make and model on a beep decoder would answer your question.
\015\012What are you going to do about the switch controlled outlet? Id suggest you run a power strip from another hot all the time outlet. It is a death sentence to continue to shut your computer off with first warning it.
