Yes it would! the warmth tends to expand the lightweight chassis of these types of units. This causes the cards to sometimes move upward and thus partly disconnect themselves. During summer if you were to add a small PC fan to blow air over the cards you would find the problem doe snot occur. We gave tested this at Uni we blew hot air from a hair dryer over the boards and filmed the cards moving upward over a period of time. We added a PC fan to the chassis and refilmed using only normal air conditioning set to 25C and in the same time frame no cards popped.
I guess it might be a video card not properly seated in its slot...blowing will not work for sure :-)
