Green display on boot up Please help

\015 When I power on my computer the screen for post up until the Windows XP Welcome screen has a Green background. Once the welcome screen comes up my display is normal. Also odd is the green is behind my windows wallpaper too! I checked my cables to the monitor, re-installed my video card and checked for any errors and nothing has resolved this issue. I also scanned for viruses etc. which came clean.\015\012\015\012Any ideas?\015

Sounds like a bad video card. Try putting a new video card in.
Try changing the desktop background to black .
to do this.
1 . right click on desktop.
2. select properties.
3. click on DESKTOP tab .
4. change color to black.
5. Apply settings . Ok.
