Cooling fan runs constantly coming off stand-by

\015 The fan in my emachines W3622 desktop comes on when I come off stand-by and continues to run until I restart the computer at which time it will run for a few moments during start-up, then it gets real quiet and stays that way. The computer works fine so I'm assuming it's not overheating. Is this normal?\015

Answers :

Has it always done this or is this a recent problem?
Try this: right click on your desk top's start screen, select properties, select screen saver, select poweer, select hibernate. Make sure that hibernate is checked and select apply. Now when you hibernate your computer will remember all the info you were working on AND it should make the fan run normally on start up.
Not all computers have the hibernate feature and it cannot be added, so let's hope yours was built with it at the factory. Good luck!
