Having problems with your Computer System Cooling ?

Cpu fan running at high rpms

\015 Just installed a new cpu and fans are now running at high rpms. Why is this ?\015

Answers :

Are you sure there is enough thermal jel between the new cpu and the fan? If not, fan could not get enough heat and constantly tries harder. That thermal jel creates a better environment for the heat conduction so that fan could do less job and take out more heat at the same time. Hope this will help.
Many reasons could cause this
1. The CPU generates more heat, and needs better cooling.

2. The fan(s) are designed to spin faster, with variable setting.

3. The variable setting controls are not installed/turned up all the way.

In general: If your fans are spinning without grinding or squealing, this is a good thing. The noise may not be so appealing, but the fan is there to protect your investment.

Its safe to say unless your having instability issues, your new processor is asking for more cooling, and your fans are providing it. Which is a general plus.

The fan should regulate speed on its one. If the fan speed goes up and down, then you are fine.
