Hello,
\015\012
\015\012This usually indicates a power supply that is about to fail. Heat buildup in the\015\012monitor case causes parts called capacitors to overheat and blow out.\015\012Check out our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm \015\012We have pictures of what the blown capacitors look like. Open the back\015\012of your monitor and look for the blown caps. Replace all the ones that\015\012look like the ones in the pictures and you should be back up and\015\012running. The values you need to get are going to be marked on the sides\015\012of the ones you take out. Be sure to reinstall the new ones with the\015\012polarity stripe going the same direction as the old ones come out. You\015\012can order replacement parts from several places on the internet or we\015\012can supply them for you. You will need to use high temp caps that will\015\012be marked 105c, these are not available from Radio Shack. If you use\015\012ones that are not rated correctly then you will have more issues in a\015\012month or two. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a\015\012repair service for $35 plus return shipping.

Occasionally, when I turn on my computer, my Sceptre X9G-NagaIV (Black) 19" LCD Monitor screen has a dark pinkish hue to it. Adjusting the monitor's controls don't help. If I unplug the monitor from the computer and/or power source & then reattach it, the monitor returns to normal. Since this has happened several time in the last 6 months, I'm wondering whether I need to get a new monitor or if it's something that could be easily fixed? Thanks.

This could be as simple as the video cable isn't connecting securely. You could try replacing the cable or screwing it tighter. We recently had a red tint on an external monitor for a laptop because the cable was loose; since the laptop moved regular ... Sceptre X9G-NagaIV 19" LCD Monitor

My Medion TFT 15" LCD monitor (several years old) now just cycles when I try to turn it on (get green power light, screen comes on for an instant, then screen and green power light go off, and cycles like this about every second). It has an external power supply (AC to 12VDC 3.5A) which does read 12VDC on my voltmeter. I've tried connecting to different plugs and leaving it unplugged for awhile to no avail. I read online about a possible CCFD inverter problem causing similar symptoms. Any ideas?
